PLASTISEAM® is a tough, clear, flexible polyurethane based sealant that is excellent for sealing pin holes in sewn seams. PLASTISEAM® is typically used on nylon, canvas and other fabrics used in making backpacks, tents, awnings, tarps, outdoor clothing, etc.

PLASTISEAM® is second to none in performance and will last far longer than any other seam sealer on the market.

Surface Preparations

All surfaces to be sealed must be free of any oils, dust or other foreign matter.

USE ADEQUATE VENTILATION.

Bushing

N/A Gently mix before each use. Dilute with recommended thinner if necessary. Use adequate "sheer" mixing to ensure thinner mixes properly with PLASTISEAM®. Apply a wet, uniform coating to surface and allow to penetrate and dry. Allow 20-30 minutes dry time before applying additional coats of PLASTISEAM®. Allow 4 hours dry time minimum, overnight for best results.

Seams sealed with PLASTISEAM® can stick together if not completely dry before folding or storing or if stored above 100ºF.

Hints

N/A Recommended thinner is Toluene. Allow to dry overnight whenever possible. Avoid excessive air movement, heat or humidity. Always use proper ventilation and protection.
