F-892 is a vinyl based clear top coat which is used over F-818 or F-861 as well as Muraculon coatings as a satin finish. While remaining soft and flexible, F-892 will also improve tensile strength, abrasion, block and stain resistance.

Surface Preparations

N/A MIX WELL BEFORE USE.
All surfaces to be coated must be free of any oils, dust or loose foam particles.

USE ADEQUATE VENTILATION.

Spraying

N/A GENTLY MIX BEFORE SPRAYING.
Pressure pot/conventional sprayers may be used. Apply wet, overlapping coats, holding gun 6"-12" from surface, using 4"-6" pattern. Allow 10-20 minutes minimum dry time before applying additional coats or turning part over. To speed drying of F-892, allow to air dry 5 minutes, then place in mild heat, 95°F-120°F, with mild air movement, until completely dry. Make sure heat source is safe for this use and that you ventilate properly. Recommended dry film thickness is 1 mil.

Hints

N/A Recommended thinners, M.I.B.K or Xylene. Always use proper ventilation and protection. When using a dip tank, always leave at least 6" from fluid surface to tank top to minimize skinning over. Allow overnight drying whenever possible. Avoid excessive air movement, heat or humidity.
