F-1068 can be applied over a variety of delicate surfaces, both coated and uncoated that require temporary protection against damage, overspray, scratches and contaminants.
Typical applications include protecting delicate surfaces such temporary protection of all types of vehicles to prevent paint rock chips and scuffs during transportation, show cars/ race vehicles before driving/ cruising/ racing and easily remove right after event, as fiberglass tub/shower surrounds, mirror/glass, fine finish machined metal parts, wheel manufacturing, color code/process identification, chrome plated, anodized, powder coated and painted surfaces. F-1068 can also be used as a spray booth coating to make clean-up from overspray build up a simple task.
F-1068 very low V.O.C.'s, non-flammable and high solids content make it an Emission Control Coating System, eccs®, that can be air dried or heat cured to meet production demands.

Surface Preparations

All surfaces to be coated must be free of all oils, grease, dirt, wax and must be dry. Be sure to always properly mask off areas that are not to be coated to minimize overspray clean up or damage to other surfaces or finishes. Always test F-1068 on surface to be coated for ease of removal. |

Brush/Roller

N/A Gently mix before each use. Apply wet overlapping coats using a foam brush, pad or roller. Allow to dry to touch before applying additional coats to desired thickness. Apply 3-4 coats to leave a 6-8 mil dry film thickness for easy peel and removal. |
Hints

N/A A dry film thickness of 6-8 mils is recommended for best results. Allow overnight drying whenever possible. To speed drying, mild heat (95°F-110°F) and air flow may be used. Do not stack or store parts in contact with each other. Avoid excessive air movement, heat or humidity. Always use proper ventilation and protection. |
